Lighting up Flintoff's testimonial

Musco Lighting has been invited to sponsor Freddie Flintoff's testimonial match.

England will return to Old Trafford - scene of their 2nd npower Test victory over Pakistan - for a major charity match at 6.30pm on August 24.

The match will be played under Musco's mobile lighting rigs and will help raise funds for a number of charities, including Leukaemia Research and Kirsty's Appeal.

Stars such as Andrew Strauss, Steve Harmison, Alastair Cook, Paul Collingwood, and Ian Bell will represent England, along with the new national heroes, Monty Panesar and Sajid Mahmood.

While Flintoff's ankle problem prevents him from playing, he will acknowledge his fans from the pitch at the start of the match and then try his hand at some commentary on the PA system.

England will take on a strong Lancashire side in the Twenty20 game, with Mark Chilton's side using it as a warm-up for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy final at Lord's two days later.

To add to the fun, two former Lancashire captains - Jack Bond and David Lloyd - who both tasted Lord's glory in the 1970s will umpire the match.
